📄️ Packing App Code
In this article the process of preparing your ProconTEL application to be used as App Template is described.
📄️ App configurations
ProconTEL 4 allows users for managing App configurations easily. The goal of this article is to clarify how it works.
📄️ App Feed
An App Feed is a feature that allows to display custom information generated and provided by Apps in ProconTEL 4 web application.
📄️ App Icons
The ProconTEL 4 UI allows you to assign Icons to your Apps. Icons can be selected from a list of Material Icons by Google when creating and editing apps. In case no icon is selected, a default icon containing the first and last letters of the App's name will be displayed.
📄️ App Template Revisions
An App Template Revision is created whenever the user wants to change an existing App Template in one of the following ways:
📄️ Export & Import
Export Workspace
📄️ App Template Tags
The App Template revision is a very useful mechanism, but during the development of your App, you might reach the point when simple number-based ordering of your App Template revisions is not enough: you'd have to remember (or use an external tool) which number contains what code changes. ProconTel4 addresses this problem with App Template revision tags.
📄️ Managing App Templates
In ProconTEL 4, you can manage App Templates, which are pre-configured blueprints that can be used as a basis for creating new Apps. This document will guide you through the various features of managing App Templates.
📄️ Updating Apps
Updating an App is a straightforward process that ensures it remains up-to-date with the latest features and fixes. To update an App in ProconTEL 4, follow these simple steps:
📄️ Minimal API vs Standard API
The ProconTEL SDK provides two options for building applications: Minimal API and Standard API. Minimal API is a new feature in .NET 6 that allows users to create simple applications without the need for additional configuration. Minimal API utilizes a function-based approach for defining endpoints, eliminating the need for controllers, routing, and other complex structures. On the other hand, the Standard API is the traditional approach to developing .NET applications, which includes additional features and tools such as controllers and routers to create more complex applications.
📄️ Messaging
Messaging allows to send messages between applications. Message queue, security, connections are managed by ProconTEL 4 platform. At the moment we use one message broker - Active MQ
📄️ Scheduling
Scheduling allows for configuring jobs to run at specific intervals. The user can configure the interval for the job by selecting one of three predefined interval types: seconds, minutes, or Hours.
📄️ Public Apps & Custom UIs
The Public Apps functionality in ProconTel 4 allows developers to make their apps publicly available, exposing them to remote clients and interfaces. This functionality makes it possible to expose REST APIs for use by remote clients and allows the UI to be reachable via remote browsers.
📄️ App Port Mapping
The App Port Mapping feature allows you to map Kubernetes ports to application ports via Kubernetes NodePort services. It enables you to access client applications in Kubernetes via the TCP protocol. This guide explains how to use the App Port Mapping feature and provides step-by-step instructions.
📄️ Authorization
Authorization built-in Web console
📄️ Remote Apps
1. What is Remote App?
📄️ Role Management
Roles in the application are designed to define specific permissions and access levels for users and External clients. The administrator role holds the highest level of authority, allowing users with this role to create, edit and delete roles within the system. The Roles view, accessible from the admin panel, serves as the central hub for managing roles in the application.
📄️ Distributed tracing
ProconTEL supports passing basic tracing properties by using Activity class.
📄️ Debugging apps (Windows)
ProconTEL 4 apps can be ran and debugged outside ProconTEL 4 environment, however, sometimes it is necessary to debug them inside ProconTEL 4 environment as well. This article contains some tips about how to adjust the app configuration in order to debug an app that is running inside ProconTEL 4 environment.
📄️ Message Broker Logs
Overview
📄️ App Templates Cleanup
The Clean Up Templates feature allows administrators to remove outdated or unnecessary application template revisions. It helps keep the repository organized while preserving the required template versions.
