Configure Helm Registry access

Helm is the package manager for Kubernetes.

ProconTEL distribution is based on Helm standards. Helm charts are released to and stored in ProconTEL Helm Registry. It’s required to add this registry to well-known registries list and pass the authorization process to get ProconTEL distributions.

Add ProconTEL Helm Registry

Before you begin, make sure you have obtained your ProconTEL Helm Registry credentials.

To let Helm install a chart from ProconTEL Helm Registry such a repository has to be added to the well-known registries list.

Execute this command to do so. You will be prompted for your ProconTEL Helm Registry.

helm repo add procontel PCT_HELM_URL --username PCT_HELM_USER

Where:

  • PCT_DOCKER_URL is the URL of ProconTEL Helm Registry.
  • PCT_HELM_USER is your user name for ProconTEL Helm Registry.
